Gregory Jones directs all financial aspects of the business, including accounting practices, budgeting, financial analysis, corporate reporting, job costing and monitoring of financial performance. Mr. Jones has over 30 years of experience in the real estate industry. Prior to joining StarPoint, Mr. Jones spent 7 years with The Irvine Company, one of America’s largest private real estate developers. Serving as SVP of Finance, Mr. Jones was responsible for the all the financial aspects of its existing and growing portfolio of apartment homes. Prior to the Irvine Company, Mr. Jones spent 10 years as VP, Controller of Trizec Properties Inc., a large, publicly traded REIT with developments and holdings in both retail and office located throughout North America. Mr. Jones began his career in real estate in 1990 at Intercontinental Hotels. Mr. Jones received a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary and went on to work as an Audit Manager with Thorne Ernst & Whiney Chartered Accountants from 1984 to 1990, obtaining both his CA and CPA Designation.
